If you are sent to hell, is it permanent? Are you there for all eternity?

39,
False question. No one is "sent to hell." Not anymore. Not since Christ rose from the tomb. Hell is now staffed by volunteers. As far as we know, those who prefer hell do not change their minds.

It is a permanent abode for those choosing
it. We have lifetimes to make our choices.
I wish I could say it is not permanent, but
our salvation comes by our choice and that
choice is made while we are on earth.
If you do not know God, there is a simple
prayer that you can pray that will get you
started on your journey to know Him. If
you are sincere and you talk to God and
tell him if He is real that you want to
know it, and ask Him to reveal Himself to
you. Our natural minds cannot understand
the things of God, as our minds are only
finite. We have to have revelation from
God to come to Him. This is one reason
people find it so hard to come to God is
this reasoning they do with their finite
minds. God is a spirit. The mind cannot
comprehend the things of God.

I hope you will pray that simple prayer
and if you do mean it, then God will
begin revealing Himself to you immediately.
God bless you!

hI 39 LASHES,
There is no escape from Hell.
That is why it is called "eternity".
It will be the final stop for all
who die in thier sins.

We have time on earth now to get it
right, and keep it right, so that
we won't have to worry about Hell
being our final stop.

You must be aware that Jesus took those39
lashes (or stripes) on his own body for
you. Interesting for your to use that
as your handle.
For God so loved the world that He gave
His only begotten son (to die in your stead)
so that if you will come to him, you will'
not perish (spiritually), but have ever
lasting life.

The Word of salvation is near you--even
in your mouth! If you believe that Jesus
died for you and was raised from the dead,
and you confess this with your mouth (just
say it) , then you will be saved.

God will forgive you of all sin , known
and unknown, when you ask Him!!! He would
never turn you away.

Have you prayed that simple prayer yet?

Want to be without sin before you come to
God? That will never happen. We all come
as we are. This is a come as you are
party. He will help us, and we all begin
a new life. Come as you are. Today is
the day of salvation.

While we are right in the middle of sin,
He loves us. So, why wait? Now is the
opportune time. We all came in just
pot filthy with sin. You will have to
do the same. But we are cleaned,
with the blood of the Lamb Jesus. You
see, point is there is no remission of
sin without the shedding of Jesus blood.
That's the only way we can be cleansed
from our filtiness. Join us. Come to
Christ today. You will begin a new life
in Christ and have joy you never thought
possible.

At the bottom of the forum Start page I have a promo for the Christian movie Escape from Hell

I can see where looking at the promo it looks like People are in hell and wondering if they can escape.

The reason that I put the promo up is that I was recently at a Christian Movie Festival where they featured about 20 Christian Movies. I didnt get to spend as much time there as I wanted too and therefore didnt see the Escape from Hell movie. But everyone who did said that it is an Excellent movie.

The movies and resources listed at the bottom of the forum start page are references and do not need to be purchased. Many Christian Bookstores Rent videos. Why dont you call around to the Christian Bookstores in your area and go rent the movie then let us know what you think of it.

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men Once to die, but after this the (eternal) judgment: So Christ was Once offered to bear the sins..

I think the premise is that the only way to escape from hell is here and now by accepting Jesus. Since once in Hell there is no escape because there is no sacrifice for sins in hell. Jesus died here on earth for the living not in hell for the dead.

Actually the other posters have been doing an excellent job in pointing out that hell is actually a very difficult place to get into. Jesus stands between you and hell attempting to keep you out of hell. Jesus even gave His life to keep us from hell, and the only way you can get into hell is by fighting Jesus every second of your life. It is a long hard fight but Im sure some endure and receive their everlasting trip into hell, at the supreme disappointment and dissatisfaction of Jesus, the Father, the Holy Spirit the Holy Angels and all the Saints of Heaven.

I join my Christian brothers and sisters in hoping and praying that you and others will not fight the long loosing battle, but will in Victory acknowledge that Jesus Loves You!!

Hi Maria,

I think he was referring to the following statment, however he needed to read further, Jesus as ascended and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven where He remains until He comes to Reign and Rule here on Earth. Jesus does not make trips (like a taxi service) between Heaven and Hell to get people out.

was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;

Before the Resurrection of Jesus there were no humans in Heaven because Only the Cross of Jesus could take away sin. So those that died, in Faith, prior to the cross of Jesus went to one side of Hades-Hell and the non-believers go to another side of Hades-Hell. At the Resurrection of Jesus He took with Him into Heaven those that were on the good side of Hades-Hell and it no longer exists. When Christians die we go immediately to Heaven where Jesus is. The people in the bad side of Hades-Hell are still in there and later at the great Judgment they will then be cast into the lake of fire because of their own sins. They never considered themselves to have Sin so they did not accept Jesus as their sacrifice to God for their sins or they never considered Jesus a worthy sacrifice for their sins. Either way they have rejected the sacrifice of Jesus so their sins still remain.

The Apostles' Creed 100 A.D. Aprox.

I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
AMEN.

Could you kindly explain what you mean by there being no human in heaven prior to Christ? Where does it say this biblically? Where did Moses go? And other righteous men and women?

Hi Karen,

Here is a small start on the Topic. I will get a fuller study together complete with verses and post it.

God Bless You,

Have a :o) Jesus Day!

Death
Thanatos (2288) death, absence of life, separation from God, absence of God

Verses - Gen 24:67 Deut 30:15 Isa 25:8 53:9,12 John 21:19 Rom 8:38 Rev 2:10

First Use: Genesis 21:16 And she (Hagar) went and sat her down over against him (Ishmael) a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him and lifted up her voice and wept.

Proverb 14:32 The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their (believers) eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Death means separation, separated from God and separation from mankind. The death of separation from God is not an experience that the Christian will experience. John 11:25,26 Jesus saith unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead (absence of physical life), yet shall he live (presence of God): And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die (separate from God). Believest you this?

Physical death is classified as when the spirit departs from the body that the body is dead (without life), yet the human spirit and human soul live on and are everlasting. James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. In the Old Testament times when people died the spirit of the unredeemed person went to hell, a place reserved for future judgment. The spirit of redeemed people went to another part of hell called Paradise (Luke 16:22-26). Prior to the resurrection of Jesus heaven was not available to mankind. At His resurrection Jesus took with him the people that were in paradise. Currently if an unredeemed person dies they still go to hell and await their future judgment. Currently if a redeemed person dies they go strait to heaven to be with God forever. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body (physical body), we are absent from the Lord: For we walk by faith, not by sight: We are confident, I say and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Later Jesus comes back to earth and we will come with Him, so heaven will be relocated to here on earth. Wherever Gods presence is manifested is called heaven, even here on earth.

Death is the ultimate thief. Death steals life from us. We are cheated and robbed of earthly lifes experiences when people die or when we die. There are friends, family and relatives that we will never know because death has stolen them from us. Death has robbed and cheated us. Wouldnt it be great if we could see our loved ones one more time? See their face, hear their voice, feel their touch? Job was a man well acquainted with death and the loss that occurred with it. Job had seven sons and three daughters and in one tragic event, all ten of Jobs children died.

Death is the guaranteed end result of sin both physically and spiritually. There is no doubt that humans exist in a sinful condition. Every human will suffer the physical effects of death brought on by sin. Jesus recognizes this fragile condition in mankind, this is why at the Last Supper of Communion, Jesus offered us His body and His blood because He is life and will never die. We can exchange our fragile life for the indestructible life of Jesus.

1Cor 15:53-58 For this corruptible (physical body) must put on incorruption (spiritual body) and this mortal (physical body) must put on immortality (spiritual body). So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

God promised to restore back double to Job for everything he suffered. Job 42:10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before... fourteen thousand sheep and six thousand camels and a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand female donkeys. He also had seven sons and three daughters. And we say hey God didnt double the number of children that Job had because Job had ten children to begin with, the ten children that death stole from him. But God did double the number of Jobs children because when Job got to heaven with all of his children he would have twenty children. In heaven death does not exist, all of our relatives who believe in God will be there all the way back to Adam and Eve.
